BRIGADA ESKWELA 2021

August 2021 LKBP in coordination with Ligas KBP Foundation, Inc. actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela Program 2021 donating items to ten (10) schools covered by LKBP Branches in Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan and Nueva Ecija. Items donated were Fog Machine, Disinfectant solution, Bond papers, Face masks, and Field shields. School beneficiaries are the following: Rueda Elementary School-Plaridel, Bulacan; Malolos City High School-City of Malolos, Bulacan; Balagtas National Agricultural High School-Balagtas, Bulacan; Assemblywoman Felicita G. Bernardino Memorial Trade School-Marilao, Bulacan; Sto. Niño High School-Baliuag, Bulacan; Sta. Rita Elementary School-San Miguel, Bulacan; Tarik Suliman High School-Masantol, Pampanga; Hermosa Elementary School-Hermosa, Dinalupihan, Bataan; Bataan National High School (Senior High School)-Balanga, Bataan; San Isidro Central Elementary School-San Isidro, Nueva Ecija.


LKBP holds 1st Virtual General Assembly

Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad (LKBP), one of the Billionaire Cooperatives in the Province of Bulacan, openly embraced the changes in digital transformation brought by the Covid-19 pandemic as they conducted their first Virtual General Assembly. With the theme, “Moving forward on Sustainable Future touching both Economic and Social Piece,” LKBP held its 35th Annual General Assembly sequentially via videoconference from June 1, 2021 to July 30, 2021. LKBP presented reports from the Board of Directors down to its Management and Committees showing the status of the Cooperative from 2019 to 2020. Despite the pandemic, LKBP continues in providing services to all its members nationwide and worldwide. Also, part of the assembly was the launching of the KAYA (Kooperatibang may Asenso, Yaman at Abilidad), a payment platform developed for Cooperatives by the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO), Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperative (PFCCO), and the Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU). Total attendees of 2,938 participated in the Virtual General Assembly and around ₱800,000 cash prizes were given away to all lucky winners during the raffle. ¬LKBP members who attended the videoconference and won the raffle received their cash allowance and prizes through their Kaya Savings account.


Tilapia Aquaculture Technology Livelihood Seminar

LKBP through Ligas KBP Foundation, Inc., conducted another free livelihood training on Tilapia Aquaculture Technology with assistance from the Provincial Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Ma. Gloria SF. Carillo last February 26, 2021, at the LKBP ARC Training Center. Supervising Aquaculturist, Mr. Michael V. De Guzman together with Ms. Shiela R. Canquin (Aquaculturist II), and Mr. Joshua A. De Ocampo (Aquaculturist I) discussed the different sustainable management in tilapia farming. The said training aims to ensure food security and create jobs for those who are interested to enter tilapia farming. Nearby residents in Brgy. Ligas, Malolos, Bulacan were the ones who attended the seminar. The training was also streamed live via Facebook and has gained 1,300 views and has reached 2,319 people online.
